Families and friends support Carolina Friends School in countless ways.
Most importantly, families support the School by entrusting us with the education of their children. CFS is thankful to be fully enrolled, with some 500 students aged 3 to 18. This is possible in part because parents and friends help to spread the good word about CFS. We are very grateful for these ambassadors.
Many parents, grandparents, Meeting members, and other friends support the School by volunteering in different ways, either regularly or occasionally. To volunteer in a unit, either by serving as a reading partner, helping with events, or offering or assisting with an interest group, class, or end-of-year project, individuals should contact the Head Teacher of the unit in which they would like to volunteer.
CFS is fortunate to have an active Parent-Staff Association (PSA) that offers many ways for parents to be involved in building and supporting community. Committees include: Events, Care, Welcome, Grocery Certificates, and Community Connections.
The CFS Board of Trustees comprises members who support the School in many ways. Some trustees come from the Chapel Hill Friends Meeting and from the Durham Friends Meeting.
It would not be possible for Carolina Friends School to accomplish what it does without the generous financial support of many of our friends.
For all these important means of support, we are immensely grateful.
