On Saturday, February 18, current CFS students, alum Elsa Hoffman '06 and staff members Lisa Joyner and Randall Williams met with collaborators to build a table inspired by Judy Chicago's The Dinner Party, an art installation featuring a triangular table with place settings inspired by women artists throughout history.
The community table is making its first appearance February 20-28 at the Lump Gallery in Raleigh as part of artist Liz Hull's The Footprints of Wild Beasts installation. Later this spring, students will create place settings that express the communion and empowerment of women.
CFS alum Lex Coelho '15 created a short film about the making of the table.
