This year's Upper School musical production is Little Shop of Horrors, a delectable sci-fi horror musical with an electrifying 1960s pop/rock score by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. Seymour Krelborn is a meek and dejected assistant at a floral shop who happens upon a strange plant, which he affectionately names “Audrey II” after his crush at the shop.
Performances are in the Center Building Performing Arts Space, Wednesday, May 3 and Thursday, May 4 at 7:00 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm), and Saturday, May 6 at 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm (doors open at 2:30 pm and 7:30 pm, respectively).
No tickets or reservations are required, but donations to the theater program are gladly accepted.
This performance is not suitable for very young children as it contains stylized violence, coarse language, severed limbs, a scary dentist, and a ferocious man-eating plant. Discretion advised.
